NetSchool portal is an integrated approach to the automated and online management of student-centric academic processes such as; admission, fee payment, hostel management, course registration, result management and transcript for Higher Institutions via a web-based, globally accessible platform.
Benefits of NetSchool
•Software as a Service: Net School can be delivered as a software service subscription whereby students and admission candidates of the higher institution will be required to pay annual fees User Account Activation (UAA) and Payment Activation Details (PAD) every session for using the web portal. This reduces the initial cost of ownership to N0 for the Higher Institution.
• Master Data Management: The entire student’s data will be managed in an electronic format and stored in a database server. This will provide secured access to permitted administrators and lecturers to view academic information such as student’s master data, course list, result list etc.
•Online Admission: The solution enables candidates purchase admission form payment activation details from the higher institution portal. Candidates will then use the activation details to create login accounts that will enable them to login to the portal and apply for admission for different programs. The portal also provides a platform whereby admission officers can login to the portal to select suitable candidates that met the exact requirements of the higher institution for admission.
•Online Payment: Candidates and students will use in built e-payment module based on Interswitch to execute online payment for admission process or school fees respectively. Students will then login to the portal to finalize payment, generate receipt and activate the course registration module.
•eRegistration: Students will have the ability do course registration on the portal after which they will download their course registration form. Lecturers can download list of students who have registered a particular course. Course add-and-drop processes can also be configured based on the policies of the higher institution.
•Result Publication: The portal provides a datasheet upload tool that will enable Lecturers upload student’s results in excel format into the portal database. Students can login to view/print their results and generate their GPA.
•Online Clearance and Transcript: Graduating students can carry out their clearance online and Graduates who have been successfully cleared by the higher institution can apply for their transcripts. They will have their transcripts processed and delivered to requesting organizations.
•Content Management System: The web portal also provides a dynamic information management system that enables dissemination of academic program schedules, news, administrative information, announcements and admission brochure via a web-based real time dynamic content platform.
• Generation of Reports The solution provides an avenue whereby higher institution administrators with the required permission can login to the portal to run reports, download pdf documents and generate statistical excel datasheets that can be used for plotting graphs.
